This is a hidden-object adventure game that invites you to explore the world of the dreams. A friend of yours, Victor, is suffering from recurring nightmares and needs your help. As a person with paranormal abilities, you decide to explore Victor's dreams, or nightmares in this case, to gather information and try to figure out what is going in his head. Your paranormal trip takes you deep into a dark world populated by traumatic memories and some dark images that you need to piece together in order to find out the reason of your friend's suffering. An entertaining game that should appeal to those who enjoy psychological thrillers.
As far as gameplay goes, Foreign Dreams seems to fit well into the point-and-click category, with a lot of emphasis on object search and puzzle solving. Upon entering Victor's subconscious world, you are presented with a cryptic scene that you need to unravel to start gathering clues. Every scene presents a series of items that you should find by exploring and hovering the cursor over the location. Unlike other HOGs where you are given a list of items, here objects appear in the form of silhouettes and bear little resemblance with the objects as they actually appear in the scene. The game combines the object hunt with a series of puzzles and mini games, the type of logic puzzles where you need to connect wires to restore a device or assemble pieces of a lock mechanism. more
